Stoney Creek runs from the lake up over the escarpment, and the housing changes noticeably as you climb. Down near the water and through the older village streets, properties tend to be decades old with dryer vents added at some point after construction. The ducting is frequently original, often flexible, and rarely cleared along its full length.
Up on the mountain, the subdivisions built from the 1990s onward follow the modern pattern: laundry upstairs, a long horizontal duct through the floor structure, and a lot of hidden distance between the machine and the outside wall. Out toward Winona and the fruit-belt edges, properties get larger again and the runs get longer with them.
