Why it's worth doing

Three good reasons to keep it clear.

local_fire_department

Lower fire risk

Lint is highly flammable, and a blocked vent is one of the most common causes of dryer fires. A clean vent takes that risk right down.

bolt

Faster drying

When hot, damp air can actually escape, clothes dry in one cycle instead of two. Less waiting, less wear on the machine.

savings

Lower energy bills

A clear vent lets your dryer run the way it was designed to, which means less energy used and a longer life for the appliance.

Simple, flat pricing

Start with the vent. Bundle up if it makes sense.

No hourly surprises. Add-ons are quoted up front and folded into one price.

Reviews

What neighbours are saying.

Our most recent Google reviews. NestFlo sits at 5.0 stars.

  • I was housesitting for my daughter when the dryer I was using sent out a warning message on the monitor. Not wanting to take a chance of a major mishap and fire I contacted Brent at NestFlo via text. He responded in a timely manner and we were able to set up an appointment for Monday. Brent showed up in time, presented himself in a professional manner and was wonderful dealing with the over exuberant family dog. Brent explained what he was doing, cleaned the vent in time and when he left I felt very comfortable finishing off the laundry. I give Brent and NestFlo 5 stars because the overall experience was excellent.

Brent arrived on time, was extremely professional and answered any questions/concerns that I had. He completed the work in the time he estimated. He provided a detailed report of the work done and left the whole area very clean. I would highly recommend NestFlo for a professional, courteous and efficient service. Will not hesitate to call them again to provide this service.

Good to know

Dryer vent questions, answered.

How much does a dryer vent cleaning cost?add

Your first cleaning is $179, and a standard dryer vent cleaning is $199 flat after that. The price is agreed before we start, so there's no meter running and no surprise upsell on the day. Homes with very long ducts or roof exits may carry a small surcharge, which we always confirm before your visit.

How do I know my dryer vent needs cleaning?add

The usual signs are clothes that take more than one cycle to dry, a dryer or laundry room that feels hot, damp or musty-smelling loads, and lint collecting around the door or behind the machine. If any of those sound familiar, it's worth a clean.

How often should it be cleaned?add

For most households, once a year keeps a vent safe and efficient. If you do laundry most days, have a large family, or have a long vent run, every six to eight months is better, which is exactly what the NestFlo Plan takes care of for you.

Why does a clean dryer vent actually matter?add

Safety, speed and cost. Lint is highly flammable and a blocked vent is one of the most common causes of dryer fires. A clear vent also dries clothes in one cycle instead of two, and lets the dryer run efficiently, so you use less energy and the machine lasts longer.

What's actually involved in a cleaning?add

We clean the full duct run from the dryer to the exterior wall, not just the opening. That means pulling the dryer out, clearing lint and blockages along the whole line, checking the exterior vent and flap, confirming airflow, and tidying up afterwards. You get before-and-after photos when we're done.

Do you handle roof or hard-to-reach vents?add

Often, yes. Roof exits and long or awkward runs need extra equipment and care, so they can carry a small surcharge. Tell us about your setup when you request your visit and we'll confirm whether we can do it and exactly what it will cost, before any work starts.

How long does a visit take?add

Most homes take 45 minutes to an hour. Long duct runs, roof exits or heavy buildup can take a little longer, and we tell you that up front when we confirm your time.

How do you actually clean the vent?add

We pull the dryer out, disconnect it, and clean the entire duct run to the exterior wall with brush and vacuum extraction, not just the opening. Then the outside flap is cleared, everything is reconnected, and airflow is tested before we leave.

Do I need to be home for it?add

Someone needs to let us in and give a quick walkthrough of where the dryer and outside vent are, but you don't need to hover. Plenty of customers carry on with their day while we work, and the photo report shows you everything afterwards.

What areas do you serve?add

Burlington, Hamilton, Oakville, Mississauga, Milton, Waterdown, Georgetown and Stoney Creek. Just outside those? Ask anyway, if we can reach you, we'll say so honestly.
